Jute is a 100% natural and plant-based material, derived from the fibers of the jute plant. Being a natural product, jute has an authentic and handcrafted appearance. No two jute mats are exactly alike.
Due to the natural fiber structure, jute is delicate to work with, and the mat may arrive slightly wrinkled or not completely flat. This is a normal characteristic of the material and not a defect.
When you lay the jute placemat properly and place the food and water bowls on it, the material will naturally settle, and any wrinkles will gradually become less noticeable.
